Delete your account

You can delete your DYOR account at any time, from the app, on the web, or by email. DYOR is operated by Herd Apps. Deleting your account can't be undone.

Delete in the app

  1. Open the DYOR app and sign in.
  2. Go to Settings, scroll to Account and tap Delete account.
  3. Confirm. You're signed out straight away and your data is removed as described below.

Delete on the web

  1. Sign in at joindyor.com/app/settings with the same email you use in the app.
  2. Under Account, choose Delete account, type DELETE and confirm.

Delete by email

If you can't sign in, or don't have the app installed, email support@joindyor.com from the email address on your account, with the subject “Delete my DYOR account”. We'll check the request comes from the account owner, then delete the account and confirm by email within 30 days. We will never ask for your seed phrase or private key.

What is deleted

  • Your profile: handle, display name, bio, profile photo, banner and X handle.
  • Your posts (theses), replies and likes.
  • Who you follow, your block list, your copy settings (copying stops), alerts and push notification tokens.
  • Your date of birth, check-ins, notifications and the link between your account and your wallet.
  • Your sign-in: email login, sessions and two-factor settings. You're signed out everywhere.
  • Unpaid rewards are forfeited. Rewards already paid out aren't affected.

What we keep, and why

  • A record of past trades, copy orders and rewards payouts, for accounting and legal reasons. It is no longer linked to your name, handle or email.
  • The record that you accepted the Terms, and reports you sent about other users' content, as moderation and compliance records.
  • Transactions on the Solana blockchain are public and permanent. Nobody, including us, can delete them.

Your wallet and funds

Your wallet is self-custodial. Deleting your account doesn't touch it or the funds in it, and we can't move them for you. Move your funds out first, or export your wallet's private key (web app, Settings) before you delete if you want to keep using the same wallet. After deletion you can't open it through DYOR.
