FAQ

the short answers.

The questions we get most about DYOR. For deeper explainers on memecoins, wallets and rug pulls, see the answers hub.

Getting started

What is DYOR?

DYOR is a Solana memecoin trading app with a social feed. You can see what tracked on-chain traders buy and sell, read a rug check on any token, trade it in a tap, or copy a trader automatically with limits you set. It's built by Herd Labs, which also makes ApedIn.

Who can use DYOR?

Adults aged 18 and over, in places where using it is legal. Memecoins are high risk, so only trade money you can afford to lose.

Do I need a crypto wallet or a seed phrase to start?

No. Sign in with email, Google or Apple and a non-custodial Solana wallet is created for you through Privy. You can export it to another wallet app whenever you want.

What can I trade?

Solana tokens, including new memecoins. Swaps are routed through Jupiter. Every token gets a rug check and a honeypot check before you buy.

Is there an app, or is it web only?

You can trade in any browser today. The iPhone and Android apps are coming soon, using the same wallet and the same account.

How do I add funds?

Send SOL to your wallet address from any wallet or exchange. Apple Pay and card top-ups are coming soon.

Fees and rewards

How much does DYOR cost?

0.45% of each trade, with no minimum fee and no subscription. If you trade more than $100,000 in 30 days the fee drops to 0.35%, and above $1,000,000 it drops to 0.25%. Solana network fees are separate and usually tiny.

Do I get a discount if a friend invited me?

Yes. Join through a friend's invite link and you get 10% off your fees for life, on top of any volume discount.

How does the affiliate program work?

Share your invite link. You earn 30% of the fees paid by everyone who joins through it, on every trade, for life, with no cap. It's one level only: you earn from people you invited, not from people they invite.

Do traders earn when people copy them?

Yes. A trader earns 10% of the fees their copiers pay on copied trades.

How are rewards paid?

To your own wallet, in SOL. You can track what you've earned in the app.

Safety and custody

Does DYOR hold my money?

No. Your wallet is non-custodial: DYOR and Herd Labs never hold your funds or your private key and can't move your tokens. That also means nobody, including us, can recover funds if you lose access and haven't exported your wallet.

What does the rug check look at?

Whether mint and freeze authority are revoked, whether liquidity is locked, how concentrated the holders are and whether the developer has been selling. We also simulate a sell to flag possible honeypots, tokens you can buy but not sell.

If a token passes, is it safe?

No. Checks lower the odds of a scam; they can't rule one out. Prices can still go to zero. If a check couldn't run, the app shows “not checked”, never a pass.

Will you ever message me first or ask for my keys?

Never. Nobody from DYOR will DM you first, ask for your seed phrase or private key, or ask you to send funds to “verify” anything. Anyone who does is a scammer.

Copy trading

How does copying work?

Pick a trader and set a max per trade, a daily budget and optional filters, such as skipping tokens that fail the rug check. When they trade, DYOR places a matching trade from your own wallet within your limits. Stop any time.

Will I get the same results as the trader I copy?

No. Your trade lands after theirs at whatever price is left, and you pay your own fees. That's why we rank traders by the median result of their copiers, not by the trader's own profit.

Account and support

How do I get help?

Email support@joindyor.com. Include your wallet's public address if it's about a trade, never your seed phrase or private key.

How do I delete my account?

Email support@joindyor.com from the address you signed in with. Move your funds out or export your wallet first. Your trades stay on the public blockchain, which nobody can delete.

I found a security issue. Who do I tell?

Email security@joindyor.com with the details and steps to reproduce. Please don't test against other people's accounts or funds, and give us reasonable time to fix it before going public.
