DYOR fees explained: 0.5% per trade, no minimum

Updated · 3 min read

DYOR charges one fee: 0.5% of the value of each trade. There is no minimum fee, no subscription, no deposit or withdrawal fee from us, and no extra charge for copy trading. This page explains exactly how that works and what other costs you will see when trading memecoins on Solana.

The DYOR fee

The fee is a percentage of the trade's value in USD terms at the time of the swap, taken as part of the transaction. It applies to buys and sells alike.

  • Buy $20 of a token: the DYOR fee is $0.10.
  • Sell $200 of a token: the DYOR fee is $1.00.
  • Buy $3 of a token: the DYOR fee is $0.015. No minimum means small trades aren't penalised.

Because a round trip is a buy and a sell, opening and closing a position costs roughly 1% of its value in DYOR fees, adjusted for any change in value between the two.

Other costs that aren't ours

Solana network fees

Every Solana transaction pays a small base fee to the network, usually a fraction of a cent. This goes to validators, not to DYOR.

Priority fees

When the network is busy, transactions can include an optional priority fee to get processed sooner. In fast memecoin markets this can matter. The app shows the priority setting before you confirm. Priority fees also go to the network, not to us.

Slippage and price impact

Slippage isn't a fee, but it is a real cost. In a pool with thin liquidity, your own trade moves the price. If you buy $500 of a token with $10,000 of liquidity, you will pay noticeably more per token than the price you saw. Your slippage setting caps how much movement you accept before the trade fails instead of filling at a bad price.

Token taxes

Some tokens are configured to take a cut of every transfer. That cut goes to whoever set it up. Unusually high taxes are a warning sign; the rug check will flag tokens that can't be sold at all.

Fees and copy trading

Each copied trade is a normal trade from your wallet, so it pays the same 0.5%. There is no extra copy-trading markup and no profit share. But fees scale with activity: if you copy a trader who makes 40 trades a day at $25 each, that is $1,000 of volume and $5 of DYOR fees per day, before network fees and slippage. Over a month that is meaningful. Check how often a trader trades before you copy them, and set a daily budget.

This is one reason copiers rarely match a trader's results. Read more in how copy trading works.

Where the fee shows up

Before you confirm any trade, the app shows the estimated DYOR fee in dollars alongside network fees. After the trade, the fee is recorded with the transaction, and you can verify the transaction itself on a Solana explorer.

Why a flat percentage

We chose a simple flat rate so you can work out the cost of any trade in your head. No tiers, no hidden spreads added to the quote, no minimum that eats small trades. If the fee ever changes, this page and the in-app confirmation screen will change with it.

A reminder about risk

Low fees don't make trading memecoins low risk. The biggest cost most people face isn't fees, it's buying tokens that go to zero. Only trade what you can afford to lose.

This article is general information, not financial advice. Memecoins are high risk and can go to zero.

See it on real data

Every token in DYOR comes with a rug check, and every trader with what their copiers actually made.

18+ only. Self-custodial: you keep your keys. 0.5% per trade, no minimum. Memecoins can go to zero.
