No. Your wallet is tied to your email, Google or Apple sign-in, so you can start without writing down a seed phrase. We still recommend keeping a backup of your key once your balance matters.
Traditional wallets make you write down 12 or 24 words before you can do anything. DYOR uses an embedded wallet that's unlocked by your sign-in instead, which is easier to start with but makes your sign-in account very important to protect.
You can export your wallet's key and keep an offline backup, or import it into another Solana wallet. Read what a seed phrase is and what happens if you lose access.
