Trading psychology

What is FOMO in trading, and how do I avoid it?

Short answer

FOMO, the fear of missing out, is the urge to buy because a price is already rising and everyone seems to be making money. It pushes people to buy late and big.

A green chart and a busy feed trigger the same instinct: get in before it's too late. That's usually when the early buyers are looking for someone to sell to.

A few habits help. Decide your maximum position size before you open the app, not after you see a chart. Read the rug check every time, even when you're in a hurry. And if a token has already run several times over, ask who you'd be buying from.

Missing a trade costs nothing. Chasing one can cost a lot.
