Short answer
There's no perfect moment, which is why many traders decide their exit rules before they buy, such as selling part at a set gain and the rest on a trailing drop.
Memecoin charts often give back gains as fast as they made them. Waiting for the top usually means selling well below it. A plan made in advance takes the guesswork out.
Common approaches include taking out your initial stake once a position has doubled, selling in steps at set multiples, or exiting if the price falls a fixed percentage from its high. None is right for everyone; the point is to have a rule before emotion arrives.
Remember that each sell has fees and price impact, and that profit may be taxable where you live.
