Copy trading

What does “dumping on followers” mean?

Short answer

It's when a trader sells into the buying pressure created by the people copying them, so followers buy the top while the trader takes profit.

A popular trader buys a small token. Copiers follow, and their buying lifts the price. The trader then sells into that demand, locking in a gain that came largely from their own followers. Sometimes it's deliberate; sometimes it's just how popular wallets and thin liquidity interact.

Either way, it's a pattern followers deserve to know about. DYOR flags traders when we detect them selling into their copiers' buying within the last 30 days, both on the leaderboard and on their profile.

A flag isn't proof of bad intent, and no flag isn't proof of good intent. It's one more piece of data alongside median copier P&L.
